What is the FOCUS of The LifeChange Project?

The goal of this project is to facilitate changed lives – locally & globally! The LifeChange Project will be a three-year SPIRITUAL JOURNEY for the Sonrise Church family, which will include financial stewardship, hands-on ministry opportunities, personal spiritual growth, and lives changed by the amazing grace of God.

Is there a FINANCIAL GOAL for The LifeChange Project?

Over the next three years (2012-2015) we want to raise $1 Million Dollars to retire debt, upgrade our facilities, and leverage investment in our mission partnerships!

How will the funds be used? Who will oversee this process?

The "firstfruits" of this effort will be used to help leverage mission projects with our partners in Burma, Haiti, and Kenya. Remaining funds will be used to retire our current building debt and cover strategic renovations. Our Sonrise Leadership Teams (Ministry Council, Finance Team, Property Team) will oversee The LifeChange Project and the faithful administration of resources.

Are there any future building plans at any of our sites?

Instead of new construction, in the immediate future we plan to "renovate" our existing facilities to accommodate our growing mission in order to provide greater Life Change.

How may I prepare to PARTICIPATE in The LifeChange Project?

We are inviting every family in our church to prayerfully make a generous three-year financial pledge, "over & above" regular giving to help facilitate Life Change.

Will I be pressured to make a pledge?

No. Participation in the campaign and how much you pledge will be entirely up to you. All parishioners will be given an opportunity to contribute. Those not in a position to make a financial gift will be asked to support the campaign with their prayers. Allow God to lead you in your decisions. Some scripture passages to consider are: Romans 12:1-2, 1 Corinthians 16:1-2, 2 Corinthians 8 & 9, Proverbs 3:5-6

Will I be pressured to make a pledge or serve on a mission team?

NO! Your decision is between you and God. Every person in our church will be given the opportunity to participate financially and personally in The LifeChange Project.

If I can't give a large amount or go on a mission team, does my participation really matter?

Absolutely! Every gift matters – as we each participate according to our ability, God multiplies the gift! Our model is "proportional giving" and our motto is: "Not equal gifts, but equal sacrifice!" As each of us does our part, the whole thing will be done!

When are we expected to return our commitments and begin giving/serving?

We will begin receiving your LifeChange Commitment Cards on Commitment Sunday and giving will begin the next week. You may give weekly [156 weeks], monthly [36 months], quarterly, or annually.

What forms of contributions will be accepted?

You can give financially by cash, check, or debit/credit card – online or in person! Automated giving is also available @ sonrisechurch.info. Other forms of contributions can include the transfer of title to stocks, bonds, or real property.

May I adjust my commitment at a later date?

Yes, you may update your commitment at any time, simply contact our church office to update any changes you plan.

Do I have to be a church member to participate in The LifeChange Project?

No. The LifeChange Project is an opportunity for anyone who wants to be part of our mission to change the world … one life at a time!
